Why Would One Experience Palpitations In Upper Quadrant After Being Diagnosed With Ovarian Cyst And Fallopian Tubes Infection?

My daughter is 21 years old. Yesterday she started having flank pain, left side initially, but then within an hour it was both sides. This morning it was right posterolateral flank only and she wondered if it was kidney. She does not however have any changes urinating, and no fever. Her appetite is fine. Now the pain is worst on the right side radiating to the left both front and back. It is worse in the front when she sits and worse in the back when she stands. It is not muscular. She had an ovarian cyst once but this is different, as was the fallopian tube infection. Increased abdominal pressure ie coughing, laughing, lifting 20 lbs makes the pain worse. She describes the pain as dull and 6-7/10. She finds palpation right upper quadrant worse than right lower quadrant. Any thoughts?

Hi i read your query very carefully.

The palpitations she is experiencing may be related to tachycardia that accompanied infection and fever.

So this is a normal thing and she has nothing to worry about.

Hope it answered to your query!
