Hello,

As he has a larger chest on the side than others, why don't you check for his spine? If he has a deviation of the same then it might be a postural habit which has been adapted over a period of time.

An x-ray will only reveal the structural anatomical alignment of the ribs and spinal column. Wait till the film reports come post which you can think of the next step.

For now, look for the postural correction and breathing exercises to avoid pulmonary system suppression.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
