Why The Circumvallate Papillae Are Swollen With Pus Pockets In The Back Of The Throat?
I have a sore throat, my ears are bothering me and feel like they have fluid in them, it's hard to swallow, I feel like I have something in the back of my throat that I can't get rid of when swallowing. I looked and my circumvallette papullie are swollen. Didn't even know where they were till I look it up. I also have a couple of pus pockets in the back of my throat. I've never experienced this before.
hi there..in any acute infection the papillae can get swollen and produce discomfort.. will settle down after the infection settles down.could be worthwhile starting an antibiotic after seeing your gp..
