Why My Son Is Getting A Cold Very Often?

My son who is 12 months keeps getting a cold... it's always a runny nose (lime green) snot and a cough.... congested in his chest... his doctor always says the same thing. It's a cold and give him an antibiotic. I want to know why he's always has a "cold"

Its quite common to see upper respiratory tract infection in infants especially runny nose.
It could be due to dust mite in the pillow and bedsheets.
Thoroughly washing hem in hot water will be helpful.
Also rule out possibility of allergic rhinitis.
