Why My Finger Is Tender And Stiff?
Hi I just noticed my finger on my left hand felt abit stiff when typing and when i looked at it, on the palm side just at the first crease after the nail there is a purple red mark under the skin. If i clench my hands that particular finger feels tender and stiff?

Your condition seems like a soft tissue infection of the finger(I guess you had no recent trauma at the site).It can be treated with antibiotics and anti-inflammatory drugs for 5-7 days.I usually give antibiotics like amoxicillin+cloxacillin or azithromycin to my patients(if not allergic to).Your doctor will guide you after a local examination.
