Hi,

I have gone through your query and understood your concerns.

If I was your caring doctor would ask to run further tests to determine the cause to your itching:
- examination of stool for ova/parasites
- allergic tests
- eosinophils levels

Depending on the test results, specific treatment will be prescribed.
For the time being, I'd suggest to:
- keep good hygiene, especially after going to washroom
- avoid sugary foods
- wash the fruits and vegetables (that are eaten raw) thoroughly

Hope it helps!

Hi.
Thanks for asking this question.
It is always better to give an elaborate description of the rash along with some pictures if possible. It seems that you are having scabies which results from an infestation by the itch mite Sarcoptes scabiei. It makes furrows in skin and comes out to bite and suck the blood at night or in dark, this is reason it causes more itching in folds and axilla or in gluteal fold. Erostine is an anti allergic medication along with allfree and although these can suppress the desire to itch and thus can cause slight improvement in symptoms; they are not the treatment of this disease. You need to consult some dermatologist or can use permethrin cream ( 5 % ) before going to bed on all body below your neck. Although a single dose is recommended clinically two to four applications are best for complete cure and has to be repeated with intervals of 5-7 days in between. More over treatment of all members of the family or those living together is recommended.
General measures you can use are
1- Improve your personal hygiene.
2- Take daily baths and sit in tubs or streams for long enough to kills these parasites on your body.
3- Use insecticide sprays on mats, bedding's and wash personal clothes in hot water

I hope this will help you to get rid of this pandemic common skin disease.

Your further queries are welcome.
