My left knee is very swollen to the point now it s starting to have puss. It started out as a small bump about a month ago. It bust now it s spreading. It first bleed. I can barley walk. It hurts really bad and it puss out bad as well. I can t even take a shower. If I do it seem like it tighten up. I m not sure if I have an infection on knee or what. I tried my doctor. General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
From history it seems that you might be having some ingrown hair follicle infection producing swelling, cellulits and pus formation.
As you are pregnant any infection in the body is not advisable.
You require one course of antibiotic medicine course to cure the infection and as you are having second trimester pregnancy, there is no problem taking some antibiotic medicines if advised by your Obst.
Go for regular dressing after proper cleaning.
Ok and take care.
