Why Is Leg, Operated For ACL Reconstruction , Stiff Even After Physiotherapy ?

I had ACL surgery two weeks ago. I had a complete tear resulting in using a cadaver tendon along with a repair in my torn meniscus. My MCL was also torn. I am working with a physical therapist twice a week and I am still unable to straighten my leg out completely. Should I be concerned? Also at night my leg is extremely restless and I find it hard to sleep without medication.Thanks.

Hello,
It is not unusual for it to take 6-8 weeks for physical therapy for you to get full extension of your leg after this type of repair. I do not think you need to be concerned at this point. For the leg restlessness make sure you are drinking plenty of water during the day and take a daily multivitamin/multimineral.
