Why Is Profasi 5000 Injection Prescribed During Pregnancy?
Hi . my wife is pregnant and its 11 week now, she had a bleeding in 6th week for which doctor had give IV Injection and medicine , and she was also asked to take duphaston 10 mg tablet , which she is continuning now. today we have consulted other doctor , she is asking to take Profasi 5000 injection once a week instead of duphaston. we are confuse now wha to do. please suggest. ( bleeding had stopped 2 weeks and and the ultra sound done on 2nd july , the report was normal).. please suggest what to do

Injection Profasi-5000 (human chorionic gonadotropin) given during early pregnancy may be useful in preventing miscarriage (abortion) as it helps supporting and maintaining the pregnancy. Duphaston (dydrogesterone) is a progesterone is also used to prevent first trimester abortion. It can also be taken along with Injection Profasi-5000. Let her continue taking Injection Profasi-5000 as advised by her new doctor.
