General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
Lupride contains Leuprolide, which is a gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) agonist.
It is a hormonal injection that is sometimes given on day 14 of IUI in order to trigger ovulation, if chances of hyperstimulation of ovaries are there.
Initially, Lupride causes a release of stored FSH and LH, but continual doses prevent further production of additional gonadotropins.
Kindly take the medication as advised.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best.
