Why Having Yellow Spot At Back Of Throat And Roof Of Mouth With Burning Tongue?
I have a yellow looking spot in the back of my throat and the roof of my mouth looks yellow. There are spidery looking veins and also my throat doesn't look as "pink" as it normally would. Also my tongue feels like its burning as if it had been burned like it does when you have eaten or drank something hot. What could this be?
What you are experiencing is due to infection of the throat (angina), possibly due to bacteria.
I prescribe to my patients with such symptoms as yours a course or oral antibiotics, anti-inflammatory drugs, oral spray. I also advise to do gargle with water and salt.
I suggest to discuss with your primary physician to start the most appropriate treatment and to do culture of throat for bacteria (strep) and candida overgrowth.
Hope it was of help! Dr.Albana
