Why has the cost of Ursidol (generic-Ursodiol) 300 capsules, 4 x a day Increased so much in cost. Who makes it? This is the "Epi pen" crisis for Primary Biliary Cirrhosis patients. Lets face it, it's basically a female disease of middle age, primarily white, European heritage & growing older group of baby boomers, now on Medicare! I don't understand, it's now a Tier 4 drug and my cost on Part D for 2017 will be $800 for 30 days! That is more than my SS check. My husband is 62 & still working. Last year I believe I checked into help in paying, but I think we made too much. We are at about $58k.
Sorry I do have a medical ? too. I take all 4 of my capsules at one time. Been doing it for a decade, what is wrong with taking them at once? I take Rifamphin, Hydroxyzine HCL25 (6 per day) both for itching. I was taking Chlorestemine 3-4 x day, but stopped a few months ago. I just got sick of drinking so much juice and the taste, even in grape juice. Tastes best in lemonade, oj, limeade, but I was worried about all the acid, so use grape-cran. Probably will start it up again. I've had edema and have been on 2 diuretics, but that is not an issue right now, stopped those drugs, but keep them on hand. I also am on 200 mg of Sertraline for anxiety.
