General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

While maturation of follicles, usually many of them grow to a certain extent. During the time of maturation, it is only one follicle which grows in size substantially and gets ruptured from the ovum to be released. Rest of the follicles stops growing and regress in size. Some end up with cystic collections.

Kindly take the medications as prescribed by your doctor and do the necessary follow-up as advised.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ashakiran S, General & Family Physician
