Why Do Children Struggle While Trying To Breathe ?
Hi, My Son keeps gasping for air quite often, he doesn t change colour, or seem to be struggling to breathe at any time, but its like he has to keep taking a deep breath too often, like he isn t getting enough air, he seems to be coughing quite a bit too - not chesty or wheezing, but very dry and irritable. What do you think this could be?

If he is not having any other symptoms like rapid breathing, cough etc,and this was for there for long,this is probably habitual and need only behavioral therapy. Anyhow we have to exclude any organic causes by a proper physical examination. your doctor will guide you.
