Why Did My Urine Test Show Sterile After 18-24 Hours?
Hello sir,
I was suffering from water retention and was not able to urinate. I am 12 weeks pregnant. I was prescribed a urine culture test which shows sterile after 18-24 hours. Do you think it is a urine infection or something else. Kindly suggest.

Hi,
Urine culture, if it shows sterile means no infection. It is routinely done during pregnancy as there is a increased risk of urinary tract infection. You also had an additional history of "unable to pass urine"
