Why Child Is Having Visible Veins In Arms And Legs While Having Warm Bath?

My 3 year old son has a cold, stuffy nose and unproductive cough. When i put him in a warm bath we noticed what looked liked veins in a honeycomb pattern all over his arms and legs. It was sort of reddish and his knees were sort of purplish. He seemed normal and it didn't seem to bother him. After the bath it still was there but not as predominant, probably wouldn't have notice it if I didn't see it in the bath.

Hi,
Thanks and welcome to HCM .
Warmth will dilate the capillaries in the skin and cold constricts them.
That is why you notice reticular pattern of capillaries after taking warm bath.
Nothing to worry about it.
Hope this reply is OK for you
