Why Am I Having Problem In Moving My Thumb?

Last night i suddenly couldn t move my thumb properly. When i try and straighten it out it won t, the middle joint is always a bit bent. Also, i can t move my thumb upwards. For example, when i have my palm faced down and i try and move my thumb towards the my face it will stop in line with my fingers. It also shakes when i do this. Around the base of my thumb there is a bump, almost looking like its dislocated. I have always been able to pop my thumbs and i sometimes do it accidentally when i m concentrating on something, it doesn t hurt, i just feel a little pop, and it goes back into its socket instantly. I don t know whether this is the problem, but i just thought i d throw that in there. i also spend alot of time on the computer, mainly games, and jumping requires me to press the space bar with my thumb, which i do quite alot. Again, i don t know if this is the cause of my thumb feeling restricted.

HI
Thank for asking to HCM
I really appreciate your concern and looking to the history given here I could say that this could be orthopedic problem and trigger thumb need to be ruled out, and for this it is better to see the orthopedic surgeon some time it needs surgery hope this information helps you, take care and have a nice day.
