Why Am I Having Dry Scratchy Throat For 3 Weeks?

Hi I have had a dry scratchy throat for about 3 weeks now which makes me feel like I need to constantly clear my throat which then causes dry heaving and or vomiting. I am otherwise well and this isn t caused by a cough any ideas what might be causing this?

There are many causes for a scratchy throat and clearing your throat. It is especially important to seek medical advice if you have a smoking history, have fevers, a history of allergies or heartburn or weight loss. The range of causes include allergies, cancer, gastro esophageal reflux and masses in the pharynx.
