Why Am I Getting Lightheaded After Drinking Water?

51 year old man, 5'10", 175 lbs, generally in good health, told by doctor I am vitamin D deficient. Wife thinks I don't drink enough water. I've started drinking bottled water and get light headed while drinking it. Is the lightheadedness from the water or from being dehydrated?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi, Welcome to Health care magic forum.
As you describe, you are in good health, and why there is a topic of deficiency of vitamin D, and taking of excess of water.
If you have the light headed ness even before taking water the reason may be the infection of the internal ear, or ischemia of the brain.
I advise you to consult a neurologist for diagnosis and treatment. You may need to have an M.R.I,for diagnosis.
I usually prescribe to my patient with such symptoms ranitidine, and cinnerzine.
wishing for a quick and complete recovery. Thank you.
