White Stools, Vomiting, Stomach Heaviness, Increased Belching. Medical Attention Required?

I had a white bowel movement today. It kinda of freaked me out. On Thursday thru Saturday I was staying at a hospital in the maternity ward for an adoption. On Sunday / Monday, I was vomiting for about 12 hours. Since that time, my stomach has stayed full for a longer than normal amount of time and I have increased belching . Do I need to see a doctor? or see if this continues? The only diet changes were on Monday, I only ate 3 cups of applesauce due to my sickness. everything else has been normal.

Hello Good Evening,

This seems to got infected by some food/liquid or water which you had consumed within last 2-3 days.

Your symptoms are suggestive of Acute Gastroenteritis i.e. acute bacterial or viral or parasitic infection of stomach and intestine.

Nothing to worry big, just go to your GP for management if symptoms persists.

Your medications should be follows:

1. Tab. Cefixime+Ofloxacin
2. Cap. Pantoprazole+Domperidone
3. Syp. Lactulose
4. Tab. Ondansetron.
5. Tab. Levosulpiride

But exact management will be decided by your GP after go through your investigations and clinical examination.

For prophylaxis you should:
-avoid unhygienic and raw food, contaminated water;
-keep habit of proper hand washing before food and after defecate
-keep good sanitation around you.

Regards,

Dr. Naresh Jain
