Which Type Of Doctor Can Operate For Rectal Prolapse?

What type of doctor would do the surgery for a rectal prolapse? I am seeing a gynecologist right now who is trying to find the right pessary for me but nothing is working. Would the gynecologist do the surgery? When I had a hystrectomy my gynecologist did it (not the same one). Thank you!!
