Which Specialist Should Be Consulted?
I am a 60-year old male in good health - w/ a bmi of about 26. I have no chronic illnesses. I am starting to run again, and I donate blood regularly. I am retiring in a couple of months and am considering change from my present doctor to a different one. The reason for changing doctors is getting a "network" vs. a non-network doctor for health insurance purposes. Should I go with an internal medicine specialist whom I have had for the past few decades, or is a doctor with a different medical specialty more appropriate?
