Which Other Ailment S Symptom Is Similar To RSD Symptoms?

I have sudden swelling that starts mid way of upper arm and below. Swelling, discoloration, pain with some movements of arm, wrist and elbow. I cannot straighten my right arm. My family doc thought it was compartmental syndrome and sent me to ortho surgeon. He says it is one of three things. The only one of those possibilities I can remember is RSD. What else could mimic the RSD symptoms? I go back in a couple of days for EMG and MRI.

There is nothing which can mimic RSD. Because it is very unique. Some time patient cn have insect bite or lmpfedema which can give rise to swelling. But mostly there is sure diangnosis just after clinical examinations.
I an nit sure if MRI or EMG can give any help. It would be good if you can send me clinical pictures. it will help me in offering you more advise.
For RSD you need to take wax bath and physiotherpay and hot water fomentation. If there is any pin than you can take tablet Amytryptalin one daily. I hope these steps will help you. Let meknow if there is any other followup questions.
