Hi im Swati, age 28, suffering from hypothyroid. I was on levothyroxine 50 mcg for 6.8 TSH, since im on levo i maintained good TSH levels, lately i travelled to different country my TSH level dropped to 0.009. Doctor advised to go for 25 mcg medicine called thyronorm. Is this medicine safe than Levothyroxine? And mainly I want to ask can i take L-Glutathighon supplement while im on thyronorm? Warm Welcome. I appreciate your trust in HCM and assure you are on best portal on the globe for expert online medical services.

Thyronorm is trade name for drug which has levothyroxine so they are essentially the same thing. Your TSH level is too low and your treating physician has rightly advised you to decrease the dose from 50 to 25mcg.

Glutathione supplements can be safely added with thyronorm/levothyroxine to balance the hormones and boosting immune system.

Hope I addressed all the concerns you have. Let me know if you have further questions. I will be more than happy to clear any doubts. Keep a follow up to see how you doing.

Regards!
