General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

After a stroke, the patients are put under medications to control blood pressure, to prevent blood clots, and to control cholesterol levels. Those are needed to prevent more strokes.

If you were my patient I would recommend that you continue taking the medications prescribed above. In case of the sleeping and pain medications, you can take them once needed. Other medications related to blood pressure, blot clots, and cholesterol, you have to continue taking to reduce the risk of recurrent strokes.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ahmad Nazzal, General & Family Physician
