Which Drug Among Alprazolam, Bupropion, Zolpidem, Prednisone Will Give Positive Result On Urine Drug Screen?

Which of the following drugs will give a positive result on a urine drug screen.
Alprazolam, bupropion, Zolpidem, cyclobenzqprine, adderall, topiramate, lithum, fexofendaine, serequell, Prednisone, Escitaplopram, Lamotrinine, Trazadone, Diphenhydramine.
The reason for my question is that we use urine tests in our program of safe housing for people who have lived in various lifestyles including drug abuse.

Internal Medicine Specialist 's  Response

Hi there,

Thanks for your query.

Zolpidem, cyclobenzqprine, adderall, topiramate, Escitaplopram, Lamotrinine, Trazadone, Diphenhydramine are excreted in urine and hence test POSITIVE.

Alprazolam, bupropion, Zolpidem, and lithum are excreted in urine as well as by liver. Hence, Urine will test POSITIVE only if the amount of drug in urine is above the critical level at which the test becomes POSITIVE.

Fexofenadine - only 10% of the drug is excreted in urine. Urine will test POSITIVE ONLY if present above the critical level.
