Inside ... haha slightly to the left side. The heart is a four-chambered, hollow, muscular organ that has a conical shape. It is situated behind the lower part of the breastbone, extending more to the left of the midline than to the right. Approximately two-thirds of its mass lies to the left of the body's midline.
