Whenever I Get Up From A Seated Position I Feel Dizzy And Lightheaded For 10 Seconds

Whenever I get up from a seated position I feel dizzy and lightheaded for 10 seconds. is it heart related?? I have a family history of blood pressure problems not sure if high or low, but i have to slowly rise from a seated positiion so it is nigh impossible to deal with this.

It sounds like blood pressure,see your doctor soon and explain the symptoms to them. Edit......Caralee W,if you can't be constructive why bother to answer the question?
