When To Feed Baby Food?

If a 17 week old is both developmentally and physically on par with a 5 month old, and she s acting as if the half-formula/half-rice cereal bottles aren t keeping her fed, is it too soon to give her baby food between bottles in the morning and evenings?

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hello,

It is ideal to start complementary feeding after completion of 6 months, that is 180 days. Early introduction of solids will lead to some complications like indigestion, allergic, colic, etc. You can wait for a few more weeks to start it.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Rajmohan, Pediatrician
