When Should One Test For Pregnancy After Experiencing Its Early Symptoms?

My period is one day late, I have been cramping for almost 3 weeks now. I have several symptoms of pregnancy, I already have two children so I reconized the symptoms from those two pregnacy but can I be pregnant and if so when is the best time to take a great pregnancy test?

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern...

You could do a pregnancy test anytime. But pregnancy tests should be done after few days of delaying your period. The reason for that is firstly your period can be early or late without any problem by 2-3 days. And secondly in very early time the pregnancy test could be false negative due to less amount of HCG hormone in blood.
I suggest you to wait for your period for few days to a week. If your period does not come, do a pregnancy test. I would also suggest you to do it by using first urine sample of morning. First morning sample of urine contains highest quantity of HCG hormone(therefore less prone to false negative) & is more reliable.
