When Should Bendex Be Given To Kid Having Itchiness Around Vagina/anus?
Good day doctor; My daughter is 2 yrs 10 months old. Doctor has suggested deworming for her as she having itchy feeling aroun her vagina and anus. And she cries at times without any reason. Doctor has given the medicine BENDEX suspension(Micronized Albendazole). I wanted to ask how many hours gap shall i give before and after food to give this medicine? After she finishes her meals how many hours should I wait to give her the medicine and if i give her the medicine before food how many hours do i have to wait after givin the medicine? Is the medicine ti be giving only in the night? Please help. Im clueless.

Albendazole is a antiparastic agent used for multiple indications commonly intestinal infestation.
As you have not mentioned the age and weight of you daughter, its difficult to gaige the proper dosage. Anyways, for usual deworming, Albendazole is given in dose of 15mg/kg in two divided doses after meals for a single day.( A maximum of total 800 mg can be given in a single day). If required treatment can be repeated after 15 days.
