When Should Be Norethisterone Tablets Be Taken?

Hi, i m going on holiday on Saturday, my period is also due about saturday, i have a prescition for Northisterone tablets, but i ve just noticed the beginning of my period (brown discharge) am i too late to start taking the tablets to stop my period? many thanks

Hello there,
Thank you for your question.
Now that you have started to get brown discharge it seems that your period has started and yes it is too late to take norethisterone now. To delay a period you need to start taking norethisterone tablets about a week before the expected period. Now there is not much you can do. Be careful next time.
