When Should Trigestral Be Taken While Suffering From Irregular Periods?
Hello, I wanted to go on birth control pill and my local clinic gave me Trigestral. She told me to take the first pill on the first day of my period. My periods are very irregular. I am on day 40, and still no period. Should I just start trigestral anyway? What day pill should I start on? Thanks.
Hello welcome to 'Ask A Doctor' service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advise.
Usually after stopping Hormonal pill (that you are taking), withdrawal bleeding and period starts after maximum 1-2 week. You can wait for three to five days more. If your period doesn't come then your physical examination should be done. Ultrasonography pelvis also advisable in that case.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
