General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

As per your history is concerned, Oxycodone is an opioid analgesic which is given for moderate to severe pain only. If pain is not severe then no need to give that one by waking from bed. Use CHEOPS [Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario Pain Scale]. If pain score is >4 points then analgesic is required.

I hope I was able to address your query. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to write to me. Wishing you all the best.

Thanks,
Dr. Uday Nath Sahoo
