When Does Withdrawal Bleeding Begin After Taking Plan B?

So I took plan b around 4 almost 5 weeks ago after a condom broke I m not sure if anything actually presented itself inside me so my boyfriend bought plan b and I took it 16 hours later . I read that I was supposed bleed 1 week after but I bled exactly 2 weeks from the day I took the pill but 1 week before my current period was due. I was worried that it was implantation it lasted around 5 days and it s started light and got decently heavy but not has heavy as usual , also I experienced some clots . I m not sure if this is normal or not .

Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
Plan B is an emergency contraceptive pill. If it is taken within 72 hours after unprotected intercourse, it would help to prevent unwanted or accidental pregnancy.
The pill would cause withdrawal bleeding within 3 weeks from the day of its intake. However, most of the times, bleeding occurs during the first two weeks itself.
What you have experienced is normal as your bleeding could be heavier than normal with passage of clots. However, if the symptoms of passing clots and heavy bleeding continues for long, you need to seek medical attention promptly.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best.
