When Can Physical Activity Be Started After Testicular Surgery?

Hi, may I answer your health queries? Please type your query here...

My 20 year old son had emergency surgery Nov20 for testicular torsion, successful, problem corrected, both, not just the twisted one, attached. He is now home from college on winter break. He rows crew at school, and has been off since Thanksgiving. He wants to be able to get back for the spring season. When can he safely start working out again, and with what activities? Everything seems to be healing fine, he was checked out oak by the surgeon on Dec 12.

HI.
Thanks for your query. Read and understood the problem of your son.

Since the surgery of testicular torsion and fixation of both the testis is a straightforward surgery, not involving any major muscular or vascular structure, you son can resume the regular activities just after the skin would is healed.
The rigorous activities and exercises can commence within three weeks. If the wound is already healed well, if there are no signs or symptoms and it is already more than 2 weeks your son can gradually pick up all the activities soon.
