Wheezing And Cough On Consumption Of Alcohol. Reasons Of It And Relief Measures?

I am a 23 year old female. I am 5' 10" and I weigh about 160(ish) pounds. I am not a big drinker, but occasionally I will have a couple. Whenever I drink I immediately have a harder time breathing (almost like my lungs are full). It makes me wheeze and cough. It makes no difference whether I have had a lot to drink or just one sip. Why does this happen? (If it helps I also get really warm and my cheeks flush from the warmth)

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,
Thanks for the query to H.C.M. Forum.
Due to antigen antibody reaction person develops allergy and this allergy develops bronchoconstriction .
This bronchoconstriction develops cough , difficulty in breathing , hot flashes ( due to reaction ) and this is known as asthmatic allergic attack.
Once you sip alcohol , at once it causes allergy and symptoms starts instantly.
In my opinion you should not drink such type of drinks which causes allergy.
Good luck.
