Whats The Cause For Headache In Elderly Woman With Vasectomy?

Dear Doctor,

At about 4.30 AM this morning I wokeup with severe headche which seemed to me like migraine. I am 53 years old female and have undergone vascetomy about 15 years back. I am also suffering from hypothyroidism and I am taking treatment for the same (hypothyroidism is under control). I am overweight (height 5ft 4 inch, weight about 90 kg) and weight keeps on increasing regularly. Of late I seem to be suffering from sleep apenea. Kindly advise.

Hi,
Welcome to Healthcaremagic.com.

I had gone through your question I can understand your concern about your head ache.

As per your history you have hypothyroidism, that means you must be have low blood pressure episodes too.
In case of low blood pressure in hypothyroidism patient the headache behave same type as that of migraine. As it happened in night it can be because of same reason because the blood pressure falls too during sleep hours.

If you have any other same episode you must get your blood pressure checked to confirm whether it is because of BP issue or it is migraine.

Migraine has some characters like particular cause (food, medication, light, sleep disturbance etc etc.).
Also preceded by nausea and vomiting some times.
Aggrivated by any type of movement during the episode.

If you have above associated symptoms you can get checked by a physician for further management of migraine.

Hope the answer to your query you can write us back if you feed further assistance needed.

Regards
