What's Causing Itchy Red Bumps On The Limbs Which Disappears On Its Own In A 50 Yo Female?

Lately I have itchy red bumps (like a mosquito bite but smaller) that pop up on my hands, arms, legs, feet, and then disappear in about a day. Some are like hives too. No pattern to them when they pop up. I am female, 50 yrs. old. Can't figure out what I'm having a reaction to.

Hi,

It seems that you might have lichen urticatus. It is a hypersensitive reaction to insect bite. It is also called papular urticaria. There may be some insects like bed bug, flea, mosquito etc which are responsible for such condition. Apply calamine lotion at night. Avoid soap bath. Take a short course of steroid. Take antihistaminics like desloratidine or levocetirizine. You may be improved. Take care to prevent insects bite. Still, you consult dermatologist. I hope you got my answer.

Thanks?
