What Would One Look For In A Blood Test During A Flare Up Of Diverticulosis?

Recently had blood tested after a flare up of chronic diverticulosis problem...results showed PLT of 84000. The wbc was 7.1..referred to a hemotoligist..but worried about various possibilities...also have been treated for dehydration in the past..need your opinion please

Hello,

The platelet count can be low due to temporary infective etiology. You need to drink lots of water. Your platelet count needs to be monitored.

If you have fever also than I suggest to investigate with dengue IgM test as well. Kindly attach your reports to guide you further.
