Hello,
I don't think this will be
thyroid cancer. Usually, when the pain and
tingling are radiating in nature, we look out for the changes in the
cervical spine curvature changes.
So we advice initially for an x-ray or the MRI later on. Based on the reports of the radiology we correlate that with clinical symptoms, if it is indicative the treatment will follow the guidelines.
You should look for differential diagnosis too of your doubt with thyroid cancer. So a simple blood routine should be fine to look ahead for further test.
Increase in
WBC will indicate the infection and tests will be taken further.
Also, for reducing the symptoms, like pain, tingling, needles etc, using a cervical soft collar for making the cervical spine stable, exercise for the neck muscles and upper limb muscles as a whole,
TENS therapy and
Ultrasound therapy under a
physiotherapy guided program should help.
In case the WBC turns out to be on a higher side than look forward with the cancer management part.
But as I mentioned in the beginning, it won't be the one you are thinking.
Without having a proper diagnosis one should never jump and spoil the peace of mind.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
