What Would Cause A High AST Level Of About 108 From The Blood Test?
My blood test results show high level of AST. During 1 year from 86 to 108. I don t drink alcohol and my diet is pretty balanced. I also have unpleasant feeling under my right ribs and fatigue. What could be the cause and what shall I do to lower AST down? Thank you in advance
A right upper abdomen discomfort can be due to many reasons like - gall stone disease - hepatitis - pancreatitis - a liver abscess (fever would be present) to name a few
It would have been great had I examined you on my own.
I would suggest you to get an abdominal ultrasound done. This will help in the diagnosis.
Do not worry.
Visit a gastro-enterologist. He/she can examine you and correlate clinically.
