What Vaccinations Are Required Prior To Travel To India?

Hello ,

I am sending my daughter to India for about 5-6 months. She is 7 months old now and when she is leaving whe will be 9months old. I need to know what kind of vaccination she needs for travel to India. Will she need any other vaccines when she is in India or she can resume when she is back to US? She has all her immunization done upto 6months on time.
Thanks,
Rupinder

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi, she can take BCG vaccine , she will need influenza /influenza booster dose if not taken , Measles/MMR at 9 months of age, Hepatitis A when she is 1 year old, , Chickenpox and MMR at 15 months of age . It is not recommended to delay and resume in US as it will put her at risk .You can discuss all this with her paediatrician with record of vaccines received in US.

Hope this answers your question. If you have additional questions then please do not hesitate in writing to us
