What Treatment Is Suggested For Pain & Burning In Throat?

Our 6 year old daughter has had 4-5 episodes of burning throat pain over the last two months. Usually after she eats something. Today it happened after she ate some Keebler crackers (which she has had before). She screams in pain for about 15 minutes and then calms down and says its all better. She had bad acid reflux as a baby but that subsided at about 18 months old. Could this be an allergic reaction?
