What Treatment Is Recommended For Severe Anemia?

mY SISTER IN LAW IS CURRENTLY HOSPITALIZED WITH SEVERE ANEMIA; NEED BLOOD TRANSFUSION; WAS CHECKED SEVERAL MONTHS AGO HAD COLONOSCOPY AND ENSCOPY; BOTH WERE NEGATIVEI; UTIRINE FIBROIS WERE ALSO RULED OUT; IF SHE S BEING ASKED TO SEE A HEMATOLOGIST AND BONE MARROW SPECIALIST WHAT ARE THEY TRYING TO RULE OUT

Thanks for posting in HCM.
I have read your post understand your concern.
The very fact that they are unable to locate the cause for her severe anaemia by investigations has made the doctors to think about exploring cause which could be at the bone marrow level.
Hence, they have referred you to see Hematologist as she would require bone marrow aspiration and biopsy to see what could be the cause. The picture of bone marrow would tell what could be the cause for severe anaemia, so that her treatment can be instituted accordingly.
Kindly go ahead as advised and hope for the best.
