What treatment do you suggest to gain weight ?

I am Kamal Khan, My age is 23.5 Years, My weight is 52 Kg. My height is 5 9 . My problem is that my weight is not increasing since 3-4 years, My body figure is as same as it was 4 years back. My waist was 29 inch in 2007, Today my waist is same (29 inches) as eas in 2007.Even I observed that my weight had been decreased. I am not involved in any type of Hardworking. But I remains busy all the day in My University, travelling on Motorcycle, Studying, etc. My diet is normal. One thing I want to tell you that I am not doing any exercise at all. I hope I have presented my problem sufficiently. Please help me how to gain some weight. Waiting for your quick response. Thanking you in anticipation. Regards Kamal khan

You need to eat the right diet. Eat high carbohydrate and protein diet to improve fat and muscle mass like sweet fleshy fruits like banana, mangoes, nuts, eggs, soyabean. Drink plenty of water. Exercise by weight bearing gradually. If you are still not gaining weight in few months, you need to get tested for any problems causing weight loss if associated with weakness, like TB, immune diseases.

> increase fatty diet in your regular diet habit that means you can add butter, cheez, and all other oily fatty food in your regular diet
> start alfamalt 2-2 teaspoon with milk
> start some heavy exercise which will increase your diet soon

Hello, welcome to healthcaremagic. Weight of a person should be within a healthy range which can be calculated from BMI. For good health your BMI must be between 18 and 24. BMI can be calculated from weight divided by square of height( in metres). Your BMI is 18, which is borderline to ideal weight. To improve on it you must take a healthy diet rich in proteins and carbohydrates. For gaining weight proteins should be more in your diet. You must exercise regularly as it increases your appetite. You can take frequent small meals. Wish you good health.
