What To Do To Stop Taking Sleeping Pills Since Unable To Sleep After A Past Traumatic Experience?

My friend has been through a difficult past and was not able to sleep because of the traumatic experience, for a sound sleep she has been taking since about 10 years now... trica, zapiz, valium, etc... is there a way for me to help her and also stop her habit of taking sleeping pills?

Psychiatrist 's  Response
Dear User,
Thanks for using health care magic.

From the available description it appears that along with sleep problem your friend is also addicted to benzodiazepines.
She/he needs to be treated for deaddiction along with for sleep problem.
She can be treated either by medication or psychotherapy.
A psychiatrist can help her/him. So try to contact one by either online or in person.

'Hope I have answered your query. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help".
Thanks
