Tuesday it was still high. Monday and Tuesday I was so sick that I stayed in bed most of the day. I didn t take Topro Tuesday night. Today my blood pressure is back to normal the side effects are much improved. My doctor said I need to stay on the Toprol.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

The medicine that you are taking is the beta blocker and mainly it is used for hypertension. It may not cause hypertension what the symptoms you have are not due to hypertension, if you are a patient of hypertension then you will have to take the medicine.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Akhtarhusain
