i had a hysterectomy 4 weeks ago ive had bowel problems the entire time. one week after I was in the er for bowel impaction . I had been on stool softeners and metamucil daily. I stopped all pain meds and continued metamucil, stool softeners, coffee every am, water,tea, and watching my diet. I started to relax a little and now realize I haven't has a bowel movement in 3 days and very bloated. I drank coffe, several cups of and stool softener, peppermint tea, ate prunes,milk of magnesia ! all done throughout the day) I am now sipping hot cider and took another 2 teaspoons of MOM . I am petrified of having a bowel impaction again. That was the worst thing I have ever been through.
