Hello, Welcome to healthcare magic. I understand your concern about your daughter's problem. Hidradenitis suppuritiva is a chronic, inflammatory condition which resolves spontaneously over time> It has remissions and relapses. Your daughter will need a course of oral antibiotics like cloxacillin or azithromycin when she develops pus filled boils. She could also use topical antibiotic cream containing 2% mupirocin. To keep the disease under control, The treatment options include oral isotretinoin and oral finasteride. These are prescription drugs which have to be used under the guidance and monitoring of a dermatologist. You could discuss these options with your dermatologist and I am sure they will be able to guide you about measures to keep the active disease under control. Hope this helps you. Take care.
